4. Using this website

You may view, print and cache pages from this site, and use its features through a normal web browser, for your own personal or business purposes. Unless you own the rights, you must not republish, sell, sub-license, publicly display, commercially exploit or redistribute material from this site, or edit it.

I may restrict access to parts of the site, and you must not try to bypass any access restriction.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the site in a way that damages it or harms its performance, availability or accessibility.
  • Use the site unlawfully, fraudulently or harmfully, or to distribute malicious software.
  • Carry out systematic or automated data collection such as scraping, data mining or harvesting without my written consent, other than normal search engine indexing.
  • Use data collected from the site for direct marketing or to contact people or businesses.
  • Give me information that is untrue, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading.

6. Payment

  • Payment in full is required before a project starts, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Where an installment plan is offered, it is taken as three monthly payments and the plan ends automatically after the third payment. Missed payments may pause work until the balance is settled.
  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling, with a fixed dollar equivalent for convenience. Your card is charged in the currency shown at checkout.
  • If we agree a deposit and staged payments, you authorise me to store your payment details for the remaining balance. If all agreed deliverables are provided and the final invoice is unpaid 60 days after delivery, and I have emailed you at least twice in that period, you agree that I may charge the outstanding balance to the same card.
  • Bespoke, reduced-price packages are available for people who have been out of work for a long time. Ask me and we will agree terms in writing.

7. Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling

  • You can cancel and receive a full refund before I send the first draft of any document. Once a draft has been sent, that part of the work is no longer refundable.
  • Coaching, interview preparation and strategy sessions are refundable while they remain unused.
  • Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or move a booked session. Sessions cancelled inside 24 hours, or missed without notice, are not refundable or rearrangeable, and I may retain the payment or charge the card on file for the session.
  • You can cancel within 14 days of purchase. This statutory right to cancel is not affected by these terms. If you ask me to start work within that period, I will charge for work completed up to the point you cancel.

8. Six-month interview guarantee (all packages and services except Career Transformation and Graduate Launch Pad)

If you do not secure at least one interview within six months of receiving the final draft of your resume, I will rewrite your documents from scratch at no cost. This guarantee applies to resume and document packages and services other than Career Transformation and Graduate Launch Pad, which have their own guarantee in Section 15. To qualify:

  • You must have applied to at least 60 relevant roles during those six months using the documents I provided.
  • You must provide evidence of those applications on request.

The guarantee gives you a free rewrite. It does not entitle you to a refund, and it is not a guarantee of a job offer.

9. Your responsibilities and your content

The quality of the work depends on the accuracy of what you give me. You confirm that the history, achievements and qualifications you provide are true, and that any content you send me is lawful, does not infringe anyone's rights, and is not offensive, misleading or confidential to a third party without permission.

You grant me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and use your content in order to deliver the services. I will only publish anything, such as a testimonial, with your specific consent.

10. Intellectual property and delivery

Once your project is paid in full, the final documents I create for you are yours to use. The templates, frameworks, tools and methods behind them, including the Career MRI and the Canary Career Bridge method, remain mine. Documents are delivered by email in editable and PDF formats. Unlimited edits and corrections are included, as set out in Sections 15 and 16. Changes of direction outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

11. Privacy and cookies

How I handle your personal data is set out in the privacy policy, and the cookies used on this site are listed in the cookie policy. Together with these terms, they form the entire agreement between us.

12. Warranties and liability

I do not warrant that the information on this site is complete, accurate or up to date, or that the site will always be available, and I may change or withdraw site features without notice.

I cannot guarantee a specific job, interview volume, salary or timescale, because hiring decisions are made by employers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for business losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, loss or corruption of data, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Breaches, variation and assignment

If you breach these terms I may warn you, suspend or block your access to the site, or take legal action. I may revise these terms from time to time, and the revised version applies from the date it is published here. I may assign or subcontract my rights and obligations; you may not do so without my written consent.

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms are for your benefit and mine, and are not enforceable by any third party.

14. Governing law

  • For clients based in the United States, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delaware.
  • For all other clients, these terms are governed by English law, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Career Transformation and Graduate Launch Pad

This section replaces Section 8 for Career Transformation and Graduate Launch Pad.

Project period

Your project runs for six months from the date of your first payment. Unused sessions expire at the end of the project period.

The interview guarantee

If you meet the conditions below and do not receive at least one interview during your project period, I will extend your project by six months at no cost. An interview means any scheduled interview with an employer or recruiter, including recruiter screens.

Conditions

  • Career Transformation: follow your agreed search plan, including its weekly application target.
  • Graduate Launch Pad: send at least ten applications a week.
  • Both: attend your scheduled sessions and apply using the documents we write together. Applications sent through the Canary Application Engine count toward your target. I may ask for a record of your applications.

The extension

The extension includes a rewritten resume and LinkedIn content and five further coaching sessions. It applies once per project, and you must request it within 14 days of your project period ending. The extension is the remedy under this guarantee. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Revisions

Unlimited edits and corrections during your project period. Your package includes a baseline resume and cover letter plus up to three targeted versions of each. Additional targeted versions are not included.

16. Revisions for all other packages and services

Unlimited edits and corrections for six months from delivery. Where your package includes targeted versions, the number stated in your package is the limit. Additional targeted versions are not included.

17. Installments

Paying in three installments costs more than paying in full. If a payment fails, work pauses until it is settled. Your project period continues to run during any pause. The interview guarantee applies only once all payments are made.

18. Graduate Launch Pad

The graduate is my client and must be 18 or over. Where a parent or guardian pays, I share monthly progress reports with them only with the graduate's written consent, which the graduate can withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent does not entitle anyone to a refund.

19. Canary Application Engine

  • The Canary Application Engine is available only as an add-on to a Canary package.
  • The first three months are paid upfront and are non-refundable. After that it renews monthly, and you can cancel before your next billing date.
  • It submits applications based on the preferences you give me. You are responsible for keeping those preferences accurate.
  • It does not guarantee interviews or offers, and I am not responsible for employers' decisions.
